Sadly, Grammarly takes all your text you're typing and sends it across the net to their central servers.
If you're okay with that, then feel free to proceed. But most companies aren't okay with that.
Sadly, even tools like ProWritingAid do the same, despite their claims to the contrary.
There are few tools that help you with these problems but which keep all processing locally on your machine. Most of those that do may be text processing rules based systems that tell you what rule you're violating and where, but they won't actually help you rewrite that sentence to avoid the problem they're telling you about.
So, does anyone know of any good tools in this space that do actually help you rewrite your text to follow the various rules, and also keep all their processing local to your machine?
