Pilots and aviation enthusiasts of HN, I built a crawler and search interface for aircraft for sale listings. Anyone looking to buy a plane today knows that you need to be constantly checking half a dozen spammy websites with awful UX to find the right listing in time. The goal of AircraftAlpha is to have a single up-to-date place where you can easily search for your ideal aircraft, receive automated alerts, track market trends, and just browse for fun.<p>This started as a project to learn more about web crawling, LLMs, and Nextjs, but I ended up building it out to the point that I feel like I could use it for my own search. As of right now, the listings are updated every 24 hours automatically and there are plenty of fast search capabilities. I'm also working on new features to help you create alerts, visualize trends, track more listing sources, and filter aircraft more easily, for example find aircraft with glass cockpits only.
