In someways, the established automakers have a vested interest in the failure of EVs. With so much invested in ICE vehicles, supply chains, dealerships, all of that designed to make money, I can see why they might be rejoicing a little bit.
There is a current trend of this sort of negative spin on EV technology in general. I wonder what or who is behind it? It's very mysterious. (Hint: follow the money?)
