Ah, that explains why I find it so easy to communicate with colleagues online. I find face-to-face communication very exhausting; the COVID lockdowns were somewhat of a blessing for me. On the days when I must participate in live, face-to-face activities, I feel completely drained. It is so exhausting as it takes a huge toll on my computational power, making it difficult for me to focus on the task at hand.

Not too shocking, taking a multidimensional experience and squeezing it down to just a tiny postage stamp of sight and sound will indeed be less simulating. But in a work environment there are certainly times when that can be an advantage.
