Being sold through the CeraVe Amazon store doesn't mean it's genuine

The poster pointed out in a comment that this was listed as “Sold By” a random 3rd party seller called “Ramwest”. Amazon’s interface doesn’t make it easy to see this, but if you’re worried about the products you’re buying, always check for this info in the “buy box”.
https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/17ot0pl/...

Detailed photos and discussion of counterfeit skincare products being sold on Amazon direct from brand's storefront. Confirmed with CVS to be fake goods.
Some discussion on whether or not skincare products are still comingled inventory, seems to be confusion on whether or not they are.

What makes the whole Amazon experience even worse is that they've (in the last few months, even) removed the ability to filter by seller, making it practically impossible to buy only items sold and shipped by Amazon.

Amazon is seriously the worst online retailer. If it were not for the fact that it's hard to find some items elsewhere I'd never use it. No property taxonomy for items means the experience of looking for things is akin to digging though an undifferentiated dumpster full of shit. Even when they seemingly offer some sort of category browsing experience, all they really do is shit a category word into the search box and that's that. It's really a terrible product from a UX standpoint, no matter how much money they make from it.

It’s simply. Use a dedicated Amazon account for shopping. Use a credit card when you shop. If Amazon ever denies your claim, chargeback and create a new account.
Amazon will end up on the hook.
Don’t try and fight the system, use it.

Never buy anything from Amazon. I have been doing this for 2 years. It feels great.
