Seeking Co-Founder for YC – Industrial LLMs

3 pointsby dragostudorover 1 year ago
Looking for a technical co-founder who can join me in creating a platform for industrial Large Language Models (LLMs). I'm looking for a world-class individual with a strong technical background, someone who embodies integrity and high energy, is results-driven, able to prioritise the business, and has an unstoppable drive and sense of urgency. Previous startup experience, communication skills, and emotional intelligence are a big +
My background is rooted in a family of manufacturers. I used to work at P&G in marketing, at a London-based hedge fund (quant + NLP) and in a cybersecurity startup (NLP research / engineering), and with over 20 clients (Including BCG and other large companies) through my data science consultancy, $50m+ value created. Over the previous 3 years, I’ve developed and led 15 AI products for speeding up the production of the covid 19 vaccine at a global Pharma company, some of which got deployed at 10+ of their factories.
I’ve had in-depth conversations with over 200 experts in manufacturing, maintenance, and reliability. Currently, there are about 25 major companies lined up, with some already sharing data and others in the process of doing so. I'm in talks with a global chemical enterprise where just one site could save up to $20m per year. Moreover, the potential for downtime-related savings is substantial, ranging from $20k to $30k per hour. A key focus for manufacturers is optimizing asset uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
The goal is to build a platform for highly specialized industrial LLMs, fine-tuned to customers’ proprietary data, ideally on their own VMs to ensure data security. Over the next 3-5 years, the vision is to create a multi-modal representation of a factory and its processes and assets. By merging data from both human and machine sources, we can provide actionable, context-aware recommendations to support workers and decision-makers in carrying out efficient repairs and preventing failures. Tasks as mundane as locating a procedure in a user manual, which once took up to several hours, will be reducible to mere seconds. Learning from historical patterns across various locations and languages, we can 10x the efficiency of engineers and technicians on the factory floor.
Moving forward, my plan is to apply to Y Combinator (YC) and raise capital to accelerate our progress. I've already assembled a team of potential early employees, experts in their fields, but I'm seeking a visionary co-founder who is ready to join me in transforming this ambitious dream into reality. Given the rapid advancements in both private and public LLMs, including evolving distribution channels and partnerships, time is of the essence.
If you fit the description and are eager for the adventure of a lifetime, feel free to drop me a message
