That's very short sighted especially coming from technical people. Programmers and developers use software to automate, that is what apps are. Apps automate some aspect of life, work, etc. The ultimate app is of course AI, and until it becomes AGI (in the wholistic sense that it's just like another human) it's just another tool that will automate parts of development.<p>As someone mentioned in the article, AI won't make games faster to make necessarily. It will still be a trade-off, where AAA with AI will be a level above what we have today, with rich dialogue and more RNG, but it will be harder to implement and also control for quality.
