First time in a convention and probably the last one.
In _every_ talk there was a photographer roaming the auditorium shooting with his camera using flash. So every few seconds there was this bright light in an otherwise dimly lit room. I lasted for 7 or 8 talks before I had a terrible migraine leaving the convention early.
Is that customary? Are all conventions like that?
Photographers are common, but this sounds like an extreme case.
If you have a sensory disorder or you're prone to migraines, you may want to invest in some sunglasses for such occasions. My wife is sensitive to sounds and lights and always carries earplugs and sunglasses just in case :)
