Some of that stuff you didn't fix when you were small and could still pick your priorities will still be a problem other people will work around for decade or two. That OS you're giving yourself another year to upgrade will go out of support in a few more than that. That dev you can't stand who's the only one who can maintain that service one service you always meant to replace? In a few years, that service will be around, and so will that dev, and you won't be any fonder of them by then, either.<p>Not thinking about tech debt is a not-sticking-around-after-the-champagne problem.
