Show HN: Animated Songs with Graphviz, Python, and GPT-4

2 pointsby admtalover 1 year ago
Hey all,
I've been playing around with generating animations that sync to music.
Figured I'd share and get some feedback, and see if anyone has any resources to share that I should look at in this space.
I'd like to expand this to 3D next.
I plan to open source this, but I've not done that yet. The code is still a mess, I'd like to clean it up a bit before sharing.

Hey there! Thanks a bunch for sharing. Gotta say, it looks pretty cool! It actually reminds me of this awesome YouTube short: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DVdfSdtg_dM. Adding visuals to music really takes the whole experience to a whole new level.
By the way, you could also check out: https://algo.tv/slipstream. They use Lottie to create some amazing animations for music. Your animations are based on the melody, whereas theirs are based on just the beats, but you might draw some inspiration from their motion design.
Oh and spare a moment to give try out my project and give some brutal feedback if you are willing https://news.ycombinator.com/edit?id=38298087.
