> It is designed for SaaS companies that value both user freedom and developer sustainability.
I disagree that they value freedom.
"harmful free-riding" - I don't think it's true that users of Open Source software are free-riders. They're users, consuming the product of our work. Sometimes I contribute to fix my bugs and sometimes I contribute fixes for the sake of the users. And sometimes I contribute selfishly to promote my own career as a developer.
To me, two things are part of the appeal of contributing: (1) the users (more users, higher profile project), (2) mutual benefit and commitment to freedom among contributors.
I doubt your SaaS company's commitment to Open Source software if you use this license and I encourage others not to contribute code bound by this license.
Please do not refer to this license as Open Source -- I'm happy to see that this page draws a distinction between FSL and Open Source.
