Ask HN: How do you store and organize your prompts?

What sort of prompts are we talking about here?<p>I prefer my PS1 to be as simple as possible, as in: &#x27;m70t [jvs] &#x2F;home&#x2F;jvs &gt; &#x27; which is $HOSTNAME, $USERNAME and current directory.
