An unsurprising paean considering both the writer and the subject. Mr. Kissinger’s defect, after all, perhaps not unlike Schmidt, was not in his intelligence, drive, or work ethic - features that Schmidt praises. It was, rather, a moral concern, an apparent belief that all means can be justified by a noble aspiration.
Eric Schmidt and Henry Kissenger are two fascinating characters; both unapologetic proponents of the American empire, often far more honest than the empire's usual minions.
Eric Schmidt led Google as it forayed into China and back again. And today he is one the key architects of the tech war with China and the weaponisation of AI.
Perhaps this is what Kissenger of today looks like.
I lack a term for the military, political, technological, propagandistic complex.
https://wikileaks.org/google-is-not-what-it-seems/
