These types of (official) articles are frustrating. They&#x27;re disabling a security mechanism in trade for performance (concerning to some, unimportant to others). The issue is that &quot;gamers&quot; will take this article as gospel and fail to understand:<p>&gt; Microsoft has seen that in some scenarios and some configurations<p>Microsoft used to have a support.microsoft.com article for disabling various Windows Services to &quot;improve performance&quot;. Fairly certain that was written by an intern who was copying the &quot;BlackVipr&quot; guide, which in and of itself was flawed&#x2F;incorrect yet gospel.
