These types of (official) articles are frustrating. They're disabling a security mechanism in trade for performance (concerning to some, unimportant to others). The issue is that "gamers" will take this article as gospel and fail to understand:<p>> Microsoft has seen that in some scenarios and some configurations<p>Microsoft used to have a support.microsoft.com article for disabling various Windows Services to "improve performance". Fairly certain that was written by an intern who was copying the "BlackVipr" guide, which in and of itself was flawed/incorrect yet gospel.
