Idea to App Store in 7 days

Last week I started a new project to scratch an itch. Something simple but useful. And in just 7 days I launched a web and iOS app to the App Store. This is the story of Daily Log, and Ruby on Rails and Turbo Native iOS app.

Ignore the criticism. Good job on building and getting it out there. You can always iterate on underlying tech if you see user traction.

Nice write up!<p>I used RoR and Turbo Native for both iOS and Android apps last summer on a client project. To do that I used Jumpstart Pro’s iOS and Android add-ons [1]which Joe (the author) contributed to.<p>As a non-mobile dev they were an absolute dream to use. I was VERY pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get our apps out the door. I guess this could have a hint about using Rails &amp; Turbo Native in the title.<p>Nonetheless, great work!

Great work!<p>It uses Turbo Native and Strada, which is more than just a webview wrapper.

Can&#x27;t wait for the Android version ;)
