I've long wondered if some people are sensitive to the fairly rapid change in oxygen levels (sea level to 8000 feet/2438m cabin altitude) on board an airliner. Might that constitute mild hypoxia or hypoxemia? Combine that with alcohol, cannabis or psych medications and perhaps that may explain why people act out.
