Ask HN: Why Does Wikipedia Portray TP-Link as Singaporean, Not Chinese?

1 pointsby kruuuderover 1 year ago
I was in the market for a new switch for my home network and started researching different brands, which led me to TP-Link. To my surprise, I discovered that although TP-Link was founded in China and is headquartered there, its English Wikipedia page describes it as a Singaporean company, with no mention of its Chinese origins. What's going on?

If you have a reliable source for the headquarters' location, change it on the Wikipedia page and add the appropriate reference.

Did you check the edit history? Maybe it was changed recently? You could also flag it on the Talk page.<p>Edit: <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.m.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;Talk:TP-Link#c-73.223.72.104-2022-04-06T21:40:00.000Z-Rolled_back" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.m.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;Talk:TP-Link#c-73.223.72.104...</a>
