With the recent Carta drama unfolding, it's clear the issues are widespread systemic issues.<p>I have been part of multiple startups that turn a blind eye to security, privacy and ethical issues. I am ashamed to say I had not been able to speak up due to fear of retribution. Multiple parties that were part of these things had to have known about the issues, sometimes including leaders and institutional investors.<p>Uber's greyball, FTX, Theranos, Nikola, Frank are some of the more recent examples that have gotten some public attention. Where do we draw the line? Do we need better regulations and potentially protections for whistle blowers?
