This is the sort of quirky fun that characterized the early days of UNIX and computing in general. It's refreshing to see the BSD community keeping it alive and well.
As much as I find less practical use for OpenBSD these days, I'm very glad it exists, both for fun and whimsical things like this and for some cutting-edge security research and implementation which actually works in a practical way.
So many gems! May I humbly suggest in chronological order.<p>"Wizard of OS" (3.7): Blatant Pink Floyd derivation about WiFi drivers.<p><a href="https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#37" rel="nofollow">https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#37</a><p>"Blob!" (3.9): Yet another driver song and the finale always cracks me up when the "sinners" are called out.<p><a href="https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#39" rel="nofollow">https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#39</a><p>"100001 1010101" (4.2): Possibly the best summary of "OpenBSD philosophy" out of all the release songs.<p><a href="https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#42" rel="nofollow">https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#42</a><p>"Games" (4.5): Music-wise, probably my favourite. How can frustration about the insanity that is ACPI turn into such a good song?<p><a href="https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#45" rel="nofollow">https://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html#45</a>
I am pretty sure these songs turned me into a die-hard OpenBSD fan back in the day. I remember first hearing of one on Slashdot at like 1 in the morning, and immediately shook my roommate awake to listen to it. He was not pleased. I thought it was good though.
