You've heard about imposter syndrome, but what do you call it when one does work that they believe is very high quality and perhaps even important, but it isn't accepted by the mainstream or the influencers and powers that be in a given space?
Eg, one believe they deserve to be in "the club" and perhaps even an authority in the club, but the club doesn't even seem to want to acknowledge their existence?
And of course, all interactions they have with the club seem to confirm an existing bias that they want nothing to do with them (which is probably false).
I'm all but certain it's not called arrogant-prick-who-seeks-validation syndrome. Curious if this has a title or if anyone has had this experience before, perhaps in school, professionally, or even as an open source contributor.
PS: And of course, in no way whatsoever is this referring to something I've personally dealt with :)
