Ask HN: Looking for a Cofounder?

7 pointsby karanveerover 1 year ago
If you're working full time and on the side indie hacking, and also looking for someone to join you on the team to divide the load, then please continue to read. Otherwise, skip to Article 2 below and let me know what project are you working on.
----------Article 1----------
Worked with Voodoo, ZPlay, SHAREit, etc, and helped in testing prototypes with A/B testing with them that was developed by us (my brother and I) but put under their umbrella. Developed and tested around 50+ prototypes in a matter of approx 4 years. One of them even reached 10 million downloads on iOS and Android combined. I am currently taking a break and looking to explore more of my skills in SaaS environment. I'm not new to the concept of Indie hacking. I came across people in indie hacking and it intrigued my interest to join someone on their journey and grow together with them, if I found something that clicks.
My previous tech stack:
Unity [9/10] C# [8/10] Blender [5/10] Soft Skills: Ability to manage tasks using Time Blocking [I use it in my personal life a lot as well] Managed up to a team of 4 in total, including mine, from time allotments to work segregations. Aware of the concepts used in for FB Ads creatives to get lower CPIs and high CTRs, along with analysing other KPIs like Day 1, D7, D28 retention, etc. I'm aware of how front end and back ends work, I have some experience around DIY projects where I have used the MERN stack, and also in another project, after react kind of abandoned CRA, switched to NEXTJS with Typescript + Supabase (which is backend as a service and helps save some time). I'm looking for a more nontechnical role, where I can pinpoint the pros and flaws and test different versions in the market with results backed by real people data. ---------Article 2---------- Before going out and building out of my own, I realized that it's better to own 50% of 500 rather than 100% of 100, in terms of time and as well as fiscal speaking.
I'm looking towards small-level projects that I can be a part of, doesn't matter if it is producing any revenue or not, as of yet. Even if you're not looking for anyone, I'm still interested to know what are you guys working on. A simple format you could use:
Please just answer the first 2 points related to your project at least.
Name of your SaaS: [ project name] What problem are you solving: [<100 words, if you can't easily explain your SaaS, you have a problem, niche down and find specificities/USP of your project/SaaS] MVP: [Yes or No] Status: [in dev or v1.0 published] Are you looking for any co-founder/partner, technical or non-technical? Proposed MRR by the end of this fiscal year. Current MRR, if any. Results of Paid Marketing Channels you used, if you did? [like running a paid ads campaign?] Results of Organic Marketing Channels you used, if you did? Are you full time working on it, or part-time? Thank you for your time.
Regards Karanveer

Name of your SaaS: Team Today [team-today DOT com]
What problem are you solving: Team and office planning. Knowing when your colleagues are going to be working and where from. Then using this to provide insights into office usage. Use cases from our customers are much broader than what we had in mind.
Fully bootstrapped and past MVP doing, trying to justify bringing in a salesperson but given our background is in design and dev we're not sure where to start.
Currently we're at about 300 accounts we got there with a mixture of experimenting with Google/LinkedIn/Reddit ads, cold outreach and getting the product into as many marketplaces as we can.
We both work on it part-time with additional part-time help with customer queries. We've just got to the point where we can realistically move onto it full-time.

Initially posted a similar post on Indie Hackers. Parallely, just getting to know anyone from here. :D
