Hey everyone, OP (Tobias) here. We're excited to release SN Pro today, a friendly new typeface that's open source and free for both personal and commercial use. We've carefully re-designed each character, improving support for Markdown and ligatures. For a detailed breakdown of our design process, check out the link [1].
Throughout the development of our app[2] over the past few years, my co-founder Connor and I consistently encountered font-related issues. Certain characters wouldn't align correctly or some symbols we'd want would just be missing. It's been a breath of fresh air to create our own typeface, eliminating the need for the workaround margins and SVGs we used to add. SN Pro is based on Nunito, the fantastic typeface by Vernon Adams [3].
We're relatively new to typefaces, so we're sure they will be things to improve, but would love some feedback if anyone here is into type-setting! Additionally, SN Pro is licensed under OFL (like Nunito before it) and is free for both personal and commercial use. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
[1] https://supernotes.app/blog/posts/sn-pro-font-family/

Nunito is a great font, happy to see it getting love and attention. I use it on my personal website with pride.
“Super Nunito” put a smile on my face.
