Apple eyes a foldable iPhone following Vision Pro launch

I don't see the benefit to a foldable phone except for either more screen real estate for media when unfolded, or as a sort of built-in phone stand. However, the article mentions that Apple seems to prefer the clamshell model like the Galaxy Flip, which would just fold the phone in half horizontally (vs the Galaxy Fold which basically doubles the size). With the clamshell, all it seems to do is add an extra step (flipping it open) to use your phone.

If Apple can work out how to make a phone that actually folds - the current tech here doesn’t fold, it bends instead producing this ugly crease down the center. Every “foldable” has this flaw.
