Thanks for posting. I keep a log of these for every time I have one of those “mocks and synthetic loads are useless to test this piece of software, we absolutely need to clone production” conversations.

The Apollo Moon lander program included testing a craft that had a central large thruster which could offset the difference between Moon and Earth gravity within a limited envelope.
