Waymo robotaxi goes up in flames in Chinatown after crowd attacks vehicle

I think if there had been a rider in it, this wouldn’t have happened. But if it did, how would Waymo handle it? Have remote driver pilot the car to safety, potentially harming an unhinged aggressor?

The parallels to literal Luddites are too obvious.
