Ask HN: Has Datadog called your personal number unsolicited?

4 pointsby emccueover 1 year ago
Its not constant in the same way as generic spam calls, but I keep getting calls from Datadog sales people despite not engaging with their emails.
Just 5 minutes ago I got a call and used the auto-screening service Google gives you. All they said was "Hi, I am looking for <FIRST NAME>"
When I answered, and it became clear that it was Datadog again, I said that I had previously asked them not to call me again. The sales rep said "you never said that to me"
I don't even have any issues with their product. Its just gratingly disrespectful.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Yes, I got a call from them. They asked about a small project that I never worked on, but I knew someone who did.
No idea how they got my info, and couldn't get any answers from the sales rep who called me. It was very off putting.
