I use OOShutUp and it's a huge time saver. Select All, or go with their recommendations and that's it. Until the nuisance aspects of Windows improves I can't see myself ever moving back from a Mac. I say that knowing that there are problems with Macs as well, but Microsoft has absolutely zero respect for their customers.
Is there any good reason for <i>anyone</i> to be installing windows anymore other than locked-in enterprise IT setups? Gaming was the big holdout and even that doesn't feel too relevant these days
Very low-hanging fruit article. Perhaps interested for a mainstream audience but any IT professional would know all this even if Windows isn't their main thing. It isn't for me, I'm mainly Linux and Mac but I still abhor Microsoft accounts so I always bypass this requirement when I do have to use windows.
I run Windows 10 LTSC IoT edition on my gaming PC and it’s been pretty great. No crapware and no annoying update notifications. Should be the default windows version.
