> As usual, I have no idea what any of this means, but I welcome suggestions!
As my wife would say — and I would wholeheartedly agree — “fuck the patriarchy.”
Or, in other words, I’m shocked, shocked I say, to find that there’s sexism baked right into the Internet’s mean usage of its words.
> Of all non-generic definitions in the list, the "a man's penis" definition scores by far the highest in terms of cumulative probability[2], with "a woman's vagina", "a woman's breasts" and "a man's member" in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.
Because it's something a number of people have, a number of people want, and a number of people fear. A penis is the most-arousing (in the literal sense) concept imaginable and guarantees engagement in some form from anyone on the other end of it, every time.
We have laws on the books specifically to stop men from waving them around in public for fuck's sake. This does not say anything about patriarchy or "phallocentricity" (goddamn intellectual wankery), only how polarizing the penis is because of the contexts it ends up being thrust into.
Send someone (male or female!) an unwanted dick pic and they will viscerally react in exactly one of two ways-- interest or disgust. The same goes for breasts and vaginas, to lesser extent, and in that order. Do the same with a picture of Caroline Ellison and the recipient won't know what to think. There's a reason we're not "Ellisoncentric."
This article is just dumb. The author is playing around with data they admittedly don't understand, applied a misandrist spin to it for virtue points and is all "lol idk what this even means, wat u think?"
The part about holes is too retarded to even touch but I'm stubborn enough to poke it. Virginity is overrated, but it correlates to fertility. I prefer older women myself but the uncomfortable truth is that most men don't. Whether we're wielding a spear or a penis, whatever we're fighting for we expect to be fertile. The rape stats reflect this much:
> Ages 12-34 are the highest risk years for rape and sexual assault. · Those age 65 and older are 92% less likely than 12-24 year olds to be a victim of rape
As a whole, we're also not running around raping little boys and infants. They're trivial targets and we're frequently behind closed doors with them. Why not? All men are rapists who only chase youth, right?
No, the demographic most at risk for rape isn't the "youngest" or the most "beautiful"-- it's VERY specifically the most apparently fertile. Even if we don't want kids, it's about the potential to create life. We don't want to be reminded of our own mortality and shortcomings any more than women do, and unfortunately this manifests in terribly selfish ways (cheating, etc.).
Rather than shaming men as a class for this, write off the savages who fetishize novelty and youth and save yourself and everyone else the fucking headache. None of this is ever going to change and the misandry at scale just makes everyone as miserable as yourself. Find someone who sees you as more than "a hole" and experience love in your life for fuck's sake.
