Show HN: Git.new – a free GitHub link shortener

Apart from the dedicated domain, is there any other GitHub-specific functionality? Or is this basically “just” a GitHub-themed landing page to an otherwise generic link shortening service?

I've snatched git.new/code we had so much fun with the team trying to come up with links.

Shocked GitHub didn't own this already, looks like they own github.new but this is cooler
