To combat ‘violent extremism’ you apparently recommend the following:
‘No E2E Encryption
When content is end-to-end encrypted, platforms can offer no content-based protections.
Since violent extremism is typically illegal, recording traces to help identify it's origin may reduce its prevalence.
Save Extensive Metadata
Recording extensive metadata about sensitive activity can reduce criminal appeal.
Anonymous Limitations
Require users to create an account before they can use features that create data or interact with others.’
All of this strikes me as extremely dystopian. Increasing and strengthening the panopticon is authoritarian to the core.
I have deep misgivings about people who are interested in strangling the anonymity of the web in the interest of a ‘safer world.’
