Sounds just a little bit stupid.<p>On that note:<p>Finnish &quot;moni&quot; and Middle English &quot;moni&quot; mean the same ie &quot;many&quot;.<p><i>According to Wiktionary they are not related in any way.</i>

According to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), &quot;much&quot; derives from Old High German and&#x2F;or Old Norse with a reference to Greek. There are scholars who trace language written example by written example back a thousand years or more. Try browsing the OED some day. It&#x27;s fascinating.<p>&quot;Mucho&quot; is likely derived from Latin, but I have no actual information on that.
