Hey HN!
I'm James, a solo dev working on Hazumi, a Hacker News reader for iOS and web. It's hard to believe it has been around 10 months since I launched my app here on HN.
I'm happy to announce that keyword based Push Notifications are now available. It has quickly become my favourite feature as I've been developing and testing it these past few weeks. Widgets still have a place in my heart though.
It has been super neat to follow the Apple and Epic saga and various programming languages through notifications as soon as they're posted.
Essentially, there are a list of keywords you can subscribe to, and when they appear in the title of a post on Hacker News, you'll get notified immediately. I'm adding more keywords to that list as time goes on. I'm happy to add your suggestions too.
It's worth noting that the app does cost $/€1 to download and it also requires a subscription of $/€1 per month for push notifications. However, there is a free trial for new users. Your financial support really helps me afford the server, database, AI summaries, and now Push Notifications.
As always, I welcome everyone's feedback and feature requests.
Web version is here: https://www.hazumi.news
Cheers HN!
James
