Ferrari CEO says its EV won't be 'silent' like Tesla, it'll roar with 'emotion'

It's funny how much user feedback comes through sound when you drive a manual transmission. In an automatic EV I don't really see the purpose.

I think there is a Fiat/Abarth 500 EV which has sound generator so that the driver can still hear the previous ICE sporty engine if they want to.

Can we please ban cars that make noise that has no functional purpose?
