Hi there! I'm the founder of IsDown.app.
A bit how it started. Some years ago, when I was on call, I found it hard to keep track of all the different status pages for the services we use, so I started to play around with the idea of aggregating them all into one place.
That was the original push to create IsDown. Over the last years, we've started monitoring thousands of status pages and added many features and integrations.
We currently support integrations with Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Datadog, Pagerduty, Opsgenie, and more. Companies can send outage/status information to where they are already doing the monitoring.
One of our most popular features is users can control which notifications they receive. They can filter notifications by components (when they only care about a specific component/region) or by status (when they only want to be notified about major outages). Since each vendor has its own playbook for releasing status updates, some can create a lot of noise.
There's still a lot to improve. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
