Thus prefabricated buildings require sitework. All of them.<p>Each and every prefabricated building requires a building contractor (or a substantial DIY commitment (for some definition of "substantial")).<p>This is why prefabricated buildings cannot be a disruptive technology.<p>If you want a readymade dwelling, buy an RV (aka "trailer"). Roll it in site using its tires, and lower the jacks (or just leave it sitting on the tires) and you are done. Underground some utilities and you are done.<p>It's a solved problem. For some definition of "solved" that does not include a lot of common ideological beliefs.
