Thus prefabricated buildings require sitework. All of them.<p>Each and every prefabricated building requires a building contractor (or a substantial DIY commitment (for some definition of &quot;substantial&quot;)).<p>This is why prefabricated buildings cannot be a disruptive technology.<p>If you want a readymade dwelling, buy an RV (aka &quot;trailer&quot;). Roll it in site using its tires, and lower the jacks (or just leave it sitting on the tires) and you are done. Underground some utilities and you are done.<p>It&#x27;s a solved problem. For some definition of &quot;solved&quot; that does not include a lot of common ideological beliefs.
