Donald Trump’s social media business jumped a further 22 per cent in early trading on Wednesday, after rising 16 per cent on its stock market debut in the previous session.
I think this is the future.
Imagine if the Biden family IPO'd their own business (ticker: BIGG for the Big Guy). The Board would all be Biden family members of course. See also Jeo Boden coin, although I believe that one is a short Biden as far as sentiment goes[1].
Clinton could have done the same and her fund would have gone exponential going into the last election, then had a few weeks of limit down when she lost the election, much how the inflows to the Clinton Foundation vanished when it became obvious she would not be able to shower her donors with favors.
The Obama-co would be more interesting - it clearly would have had some decline when he left office, but then it would have a gradual incline and a healthy dividend, as he seems to be in control of some things and is even visiting foreign leaders despite holding no office.
On the ETF end we already have a GOP and Democrat ETFs - MAGA[2]and DEMZ[3].
Super-star Democrat trader, Nancy Pelosi, even has an ETF named after her: NANC[4], which has done very well but is also somewhat underperforming compared to Pelosi herself because they cannot use the degree of leverage she does and it has other members of congress' trades as well.
And I'm obviously half-joking about the candidates themselves having publicaly-traded election funds, but given how over-financialized the US is right now, it seems inevitable that we get some weird PAC-ETF tradable hybrid at some point. There is clearly an appetite for this pseudo-investing cum political gambling.
---
[1] https://coinmarketcap.com/dexscan/solana/6UYbX1x8YUcFj8YstPY...
[2] https://www.pointbridgecapital.com/etf/
[3] https://demz.fund/
[4] https://www.subversiveetfs.com/nanc
