The headline is misleading, and the article isn't much better.<p>It doesn't say what the project was, or what Poyzer's role in it was supposed to be. It's <i>not</i> a production of "Mamma Mia"; it's just identifying her as somebody who is known for being in that show.<p>I know a lot of actors, writers, and other artists who are afraid of being replaced by AI, and with good reason. The new SAG/WGA contracts will at best delay it.<p>But I don't think it's anywhere near ready to replace featured roles, even for voice acting. It's hard to imagine that she just lost a starring role to AI. If that's what happened, it is indeed an extremely big deal. I know that's coming, but I don't think it's today, and the vagueness in the article implies that it's something else.
