Don't Think and Write, They Say

I don't believe the answer is simply "write more", because that leads in the direction of "rise and grind", not epistemic pursuits.
Rather, I believe in writing as part of a cycle of grasping knowledge from different angles, like the blind men and the elephant parable. It's the same reason why teaching is seen as a way of gaining mastery, or why limitations are seen as a source of creativity. You have to take opportunities to let go of one part of the elephant and grasp another to gain the holistic knowledge.

> tried that on this very page, and I'd love to know from you how it went
It went poorly, but after having written that page, I'd bet a second attempt could be made both extemporaneously and successfully.

I was always impressed by people who could articulate their thoughts in writing.
