The Remoteness of Remote Work

I wonder what % of people genuinely can deal with the remote work from a mental health perspective. I&#x27;d imagine SWE introverts self select and it&#x27;s a higher % for us.<p>In the list of prereqs to making remote work, this is the first and maybe only important bit - &quot;Is non-toxic and has an environment in which its participants are reasonably happy or at least not unhappy.&quot;<p>I think a large % of &quot;remote didn&#x27;t work for us&quot; stories are shops that don&#x27;t meet this criteria. My wife and I have both moved jobs during COVID and how much remote works in a healthy team&#x2F;shop varies drastically from how it works somewhere that is toxic to start with.<p>If people are nervous at all about the future of the company&#x2F;team&#x2F;their standing within it, the anxiety can build tremendously when remote.
