Today employees are like dandelion fluff.
A little breeze threatening ones profits and whooosh, bye bye dandelion fluff employees.
I personally think it is obscene that one of the riches companies on the planet decided with a stroke of a pen to throw away 600 human beings. It wasn't their fault that another fantasy project failed.
Call me a socialist (Socialist not Communist, huge difference), which I am, but I think that there should be legislation to protect these people from the likes of Apple.
Apple could quite easily keep those staff on, even if they were sitting around playing cards and drinking tea all day.
With the amount of money Apple earn they should be forced to employ a certain amount of employees depending on their annual profits.
Apple are the Fenegi of modern life. The Ferengi were a warp-capable humanoid species from the planet Ferenginar. Ferengi civilization was built on free enterprise, where earning profit was the sole meaningful goal in life, superseding all other endeavors.
