Ask HN: How much do you make in the New York area?

3 pointsby hellohihello135about 1 year ago
I make 130k (all base) as a front end engineer but I live about 2h outside of nyc and I’m fully remote. I often wonder if I’m underpaid.
How much do you make in the NY area? - can you break it down (base, bonus, stocks) - are you remote, hybrid or in the office every day?

Once upon a time, back when things were better I was at roughly 200k a year in NYC all cash. This might of also been when everyone was remote meaning maybe I didn't even live in NYC.
If you're fully remote it's on you if you live in a HCOL city. You can move to to Arkansas, etc
