Why is it always the U.S.’s responsibility for this kind of stuff? I’m supportive of an independent Taiwan, but it’d be great if Europe and other parts of the world that benefit from their independence could step up and help out.
Isn’t Taiwan like if the American confederates had fled to Hawaii* after losing the war and were running their own country there? How would people react if America was not happy about that situation?<p>*Pretend that Hawaii was already part of the USA prior to the civil war for better apples/apples-ness.
