The story
For people based in Edinburgh (Scotland), you may know Codebase, the legendary co-working space and tech incubator. Few years ago, when the local coffee shop was called Elm cafe and run by Ally, her coffee machine would have a new fun fact written on it every day. All one had to do was to guess, is the statement Fact or Fiction? And Ally, also a great storyteller would reveal to you, whether you are in luck today.
Some people (me) liked the joy of learning something new every day so much, that we decided to take it online. It was around that time when Wordle became a thing, so we thought why not, wouldn’t it be nice to have a place on the Internet which would provide a daily fact or fiction? Yes! We teamed up with Ally and made this little online project called DailyFoF, we got pretty far, however life came in a way, we all got busy and we never launched the project publicly. It got abandoned. The months went by and David, who’s the Codebase's very own head quizmaster, stepped up and took on the content creator's hat.
And so it all came the full circle and we’d like to invite you to dailyfactorfiction.com
Give it a go, learn something new and have fun! If you have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, or found anything that does not look or feel right, please share it with us and we’ll iterate on making it better every day.
> Your brain feels pain more strongly than any other organ.
> Wrong
It's fiction!
Your brain itself cannot feel pain, surgeons can even operate on a brain without a patient feeling pain!
Buddy, my brain is the only organ doing any feeling at all.
