We've gotten way too complacent about leaving our stuff in the hands of big companies that can take away our access any time they like. Those of us who used Unity definitely learned that lesson!
Beyond this specific case related to Google Docs, I'm really starting to develop a certain fear about losing my gmail account, or my main Google account in general, every "serious" aspect of my life is linked to it from keeping in touch with relatives to work and taxes.<p>I wonder if there is an actionable way to prepare such a disastrous outcome?!
