I was wondering who uses Unix or Unix-like operating system at enterprise level.
The Fortune 500 Company I work for completely decommissioned HP-UX and AIX many years ago.
Are there big companies that uses *BSD, Solaris or derivatives today? If yes, why? Is it only legacy or there are specific reasons?
imho (!)
idk ... but i have to admit, i'm a bit baffled right now:
afaik: linux is a unix-like operating system ...
first sentence / first line:
* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux
* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix-like
so the answer is: all of them ...
and the medium sized businesses, and the SOHO businesses and every private person which uses the internet!?
just my 0.02€
