Show HN: Visualizing Prometheus node_exporter metrics from smartphone

1 pointsby pmdfgyabout 1 year ago
Hello all,
As an individual developer, I manage a few servers on AWS and Scaleway for self-hosted open source services.
Therefore, I didn't need the whole artillery to monitor them (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.), which usually costs some money.
That's why I've added the direct integration between my app and Prometheus node_exporter. The funny thing is that thanks to it I've realized that the disk of one of my servers was starting to reach full capacity (AWS doesn't make it really easy to see by the way !)
I'd love to have your thoughts on that, and maybe sharing what other metrics than CPU, RAM, Disk, Uptime, you usually monitor.
I made a small video to show it in action : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ft20gqrfs8
PS : I'll be honest, the SSH feature is Pro only. But you can reach out to me via the app, with your platform (Android or iOS) and I'll add you to a testing group allowing you to upgrade to Pro for free.
Thanks a lot for your help.
