EU election aren&#x27;t far away. But do believe the EU is a dead construct by now. It only serves as a vehicle for lobbyist with stable financial backing and it is used to push through legislation that would be difficult on a national level because it would be easier to hold decision makers responsible.<p>The boons the EU offers pale in comparisons to developments like this. This legislation does lessen safety, because it undermines everything the EU was meant to stand for at some point.<p>The judicial arm of the EU, with very questionable independence, already did undermine what formerly was maybe considered to be human rights. The Institutions don&#x27;t look too good and you start to shudder to believe they might be part of a more constructive future.<p>If they reject input of more or less all technical and political experts, we can go right back to elect village elders, because these would supply more competence on any digital.
