Synapse(FI) is indeed a nightmare to deal with. I wish the best of luck to those impacted, from my experience you will need it <3.
I had fraudulent charges made to my credit card issued by them which I locked within minutes. Reported the transactions as fraud and they initially refunded the balance, then about a month later sent me an email saying their investigation found it to be authorized usage.
It took months for them to admit the charges were fraudulent and refund me. Meanwhile, the balance being investigated was deemed to be delinquent because in the process they reversed the initial refund and would not respond in a timely manner or provide updates. This immediately dropped my credit score ~100 points and took another several months to resolve. A total of about 10 months of absolute frustration and extremely poor support.
I don't wish dealing with Synapse upon anyone.
