Could have used this a few days ago, but TIL so now I know for next time, thanks!
I've been building some custom speakers using Pi Zero 2W (+HAT, speakers and 3D printed case) to use as Spotify players and TTS endpoints for Home Assistant, I had to reinstall my Living Room one after the uSD died, and I replaced it with a tiny 4GB one;
Using ncdu I found that that the second or third largest user of space on Raspberry Pi OS Lite was localisations (interestingly the "uk" one was 10x the others, wonder why?).
I ended up just deleting all of the directories by hand, but this seems much safer/preferred.

This feels like a weird thing to optimise in most cases - how large are these localisations that deleting them is a benefit?
