Most of the Greenplum Database repos are achieved on GitHub: https://github.com/greenplum-db/.
This is surprising!
Last year, we launched one project named Cloudberry Database. It's one derivative of Greenplum Database, and is compatible with Greenplum Database. Cloudberry Database is shipped with a newer PostgreSQL 14.4 kernel (scheduled kernel upgrade yearly) and a bunch of features Greenplum Database lacks or does not support.
If you're using open source Greenplum Database, welcome to choose the Cloudberry Database as the alternative.
Cloudberry Database GitHub: https://github.com/cloudberrydb/cloudberrydb
Maybe this should be a Show HN: Greenplum archived; Cloudberrydb as Greenplum alternative
Or something shorter without the archived part in the title.
I don't think that Greenplum's closed source means your product has a chance! In fact, most Greenplum derivatives follow the changes in Greenplum's upstream code. Now that it is closed source, it also means that it is not so easy to refer to Greenplum's code.
